Pre throwing

foam rolling

Foam rolling improves tissue quality by reducing muscle tightness and breaking up adhesions that limit movement. It increases blood flow, enhances mobility, and helps restore proper range of motion in key areas like the hips, thoracic spine, and shoulders. For a baseball player, this leads to more efficient mechanics, better hip-shoulder separation, and reduced injury risk, allowing the body to move freely and produce power consistently.

Activation

Activation work prepares the body to move efficiently by turning on key muscle groups that support stability and power. By engaging the glutes, core, and upper back, athletes improve coordination, balance, and control before high-intensity movement. This ensures the body is properly connected and ready to transfer force, reducing injury risk while enhancing performance.

mobility

Mobility work focuses on improving range of motion in key areas like the hips, thoracic spine, and shoulders to allow the body to move freely and efficiently. By restoring proper joint function and reducing restrictions, it helps athletes achieve better positions throughout the throwing motion. This leads to improved mechanics, smoother movement, and more effective force transfer while reducing the risk of injury.

Dynamic warm-ups

Dynamic warm-ups prepare the body for movement by increasing heart rate, activating muscles, and reinforcing athletic patterns through controlled, progressive movements. They improve coordination, balance, and timing while helping the body transition from static to explosive activity. This allows athletes to move more efficiently, generate power, and perform at a higher level with reduced injury risk.

Pre throwing Band Activation

Band routines

Pre-throwing band work activates and stabilizes the shoulder by targeting the rotator cuff, scapular muscles, and upper back. Using controlled, low-resistance movements, it improves joint stability, posture, and arm path efficiency. This prepares the arm for high-intent throwing, helping reduce stress on the shoulder and elbow while enhancing control and performance.

PLyo ball drills

Plyo ball drills are designed to improve arm speed, sequencing, and throwing efficiency through controlled, high-intent movements. They help athletes feel proper mechanics, enhance timing between the lower and upper body, and reinforce an efficient arm path. This leads to better velocity, improved command, and reduced stress on the arm.
